Faith Over Fear

In October 2024, I was diagnosed with two distinct cancers - submandibular and breast cancer. Uncontrollable fear gripped me. But in the midst of my prayers, I was reminded of a prophecy Pastor Rev. Ong Sek Leang had spoken over me a year earlier in 2023: "My dear, have no fear, you're healed inside out. There is no sickness in you." In that moment, I understood that God had been preparing me to fight this battle. His promise became my light and anchor of hope throughout the treatment journey that followed.

I had just turned 40 with many exciting plans ahead. Suddenly, my husband and I needed a pivot plan. Yet by God's grace, our family, extended relatives, and friends lovingly reached out and prayerfully embarked on this journey with me.

There were nights when I would wake at 3am from nightmares, feeling utterly helpless. But ironically, it was through these darkest hours that God's presence flowed in with personal encounters and revelations of His Word, unlike anything before, giving me supernatural peace. I realised then that this was the armour of God, full of divine peace and protection.

Despite undergoing a total of 45 radiotherapy sessions, 18 Herceptin treatments, and 12 chemotherapy cycles, the journey was filled with unspeakable joy I could not explain when asked, overflowing love from everyone near and far, and a new revelation of what a fully surrendered life looks like. Nothing in this world truly belongs to me - not my children, not my passions, not even my own body. I belong to God alone. He can use me and my life however He wants.

In November 2025, I was officially certified cancer-free. I count this whole journey my privilege, to witness God's footprint everywhere in it and experience what He has been doing in me, through me, and for me. He wanted not only to heal me physically, but also to purify me, grow me, and transform me. To share this testimony is my thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father.
